Body Freedom Collaborative has just endorsed this world wide event set for June 12, 2005

I personally will continue my work to get cities in other countries involved, to contribute to the global and regional websites and resources, and work on getting rides going locally (Seattle-area ride/s mainly, and secondly other West Coast cities) There also may be another rural naked bike ride in the Puget Sound area on the same day, this is still being considered. Some of you may be surprised to hear there was a 100 person naked bike ride recently in Portland, OR.

I would like to encourage all of you to get connected with a community near you and ride naked on public lands on June 12, 2005 in solidarity with others across the globe.

Note the flexibility in the message. You don't have to ride for political reasons or to promote body-positive values. It is up to individual groups as to why they chose to ride. We think this will go over well with various different groups out there.

The Seattle urban ride will be clothing-optional and we will encourage body-painting for those who wish to do so. This will be fun! It will kick off Seattle Bike Summer 2005 and will be one week before the naked painted cyclists ride through North Seattle and the Summer Solstice Parade in Fremont.

We need help with coordination, artistic assistance, promotion, body-painting artists, people who could lend us areas to get painted up, multi-language translations, flyering and postering, photography and videography, and we also need people who can donate money for us to advertise and help pay for flyer photocopies. There is something for everybody to do, at all levels of involvement. Don't be shy, get involved and have fun! Please sign up at the web site listed below and make a pledge of support.

Be sure to check out these sites as they continue to develop:
