"It's the best day of the year so far," the naked man said as he paddled his canoe in the Saturday sunshine on Owl Lake, northwest of Wasilla. With that, the slender fellow with the all-over tan smiled easily and paddled off. He was about 50 and wore nothing except a cap and sunglasses.
